Deacon Larry Oney, president of Hope and Purpose Ministries, will be traveling to Uganda, East Africa in January. This trip was moved up from the February dates so that Deacon Oney could teach at the New Dawn Conference in Mbarara, Uganda, East Africa at the Yesu Ahuriire Community in Karama. The Conference theme is: “Be Strong in the Lord (Ephesians 6:10)” with a sub-theme of: “Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forever. (Psalm 125:2).”
While in East Africa, Deacon Oney will also be meeting with the Hope and Purpose Ministries Team of priests, prayer teams, and lay ministers who work to further our ministry goals. Hope and Purpose Ministries is committed to helping the women and children from the South Sudan region who are displaced in Uganda. Deacon Oney will also be meeting with local bishops and priests, teaching at prayer groups in the area, and traveling to Ft. Portal to meet with the school that we work with there.
This mission trip is part of the Hope and Purpose Ministries International Outreach program.
