Summer is here and it is easy to fall out of our good routines. You may find that now that the children (or grandchildren) are around the house all day that you do not seem to have the time for your normal prayer time or Scripture reading. Perhaps instead of contemplating the things of God, you are contemplating how to keep the seven-year-old from chasing the dog around the house!
All joking aside, even in the summer, it is important to maintain a healthy prayer life. Communicating with God is essential to a healthy Christian lifestyle. Instead of lamenting the summer changes, let them inspire you to try something different. Involve other members of your household (children, grandchildren, spouses, parents, etc…) in your prayer time. We have a new webpage that explains different ways to build prayer into your day.
