Many of you around the country, and even the world, have seen the devastation that Hurricane Ida has brought to Hope and Purpose's own backyard here in the New Orleans region. We have made the decision to suspend our foreign and domestic outreach for the near future in order to help meet the needs of our hurting brothers and sisters here in southeast Louisiana at this time.
Hope and Purpose has already dispersed thousands of dollars to help some of the most vulnerable in our community (including our homeless population and others struggling to survive through this catastrophic event), lending a hand to help with lodging, food, clothing, and other essential items.
If you would like to help, please donate here with the note "Hurricane Ida Relief":
https://www.paypal.com/donate... and know that every dollar donated with the note "Hurricane Ida Relief" will go directly to aiding those most in need.
We are continuing to evaluate different ways that we can be of service and be the hands and feet of Jesus to our own community here in the New Orleans area. At the present time with transportation and shipping disruptions, we are unable to receive material goods to disperse. However, we are working on ways to receive and distribute these goods in the near future.
